all.
what
are tags and how are they used?
tags
are user-defined keywords that can be applied to a profile, a
blog entry, a photo, a video, a network, a group, etc. they are
a way to help search the site for a specific technology,
industry, category, phrase, etc. tags are created by users, and
the list is always growing.
they
are, in essence, a list of suggested search terms that are
likely to return the results you're looking for.
as
profiles are created and content is posted, each user has the
opportunity to tag the posting with selected tags from the
current list, or add to the list of tags if none apply. in most
of the search pages throughout the site, there is a option to
select tags to include in your search.
what's
the difference between networks and groups?
both
networks and groups are collections of people with common area
of expertise or interest. each allows you to locate other
members and participate in online message board
discussions.
networks
are pre-defined by paintspace.net and are open to all registered
users to freely join.
groups
are user-defined and can be set to public, meaning anyone can
join, or private, meaning only those approved by the user who
created or administers the group can join. some groups may be
hidden from view except to those invited by the administrator.
how
do i join networks or groups?
simply
go to the main landing page for networks
or groups, search for the
network or group that interests you, and click the 'join' link.
in the case of private groups, you'll have to first request to
join by clicking the appropriate link. that will send a message
to the group administrator. if he or she approves your request,
you'll be instantly joined and receive a confirming message in
the message center of your dashboard. if your request is denied,
you will not be able to join the private group.
can
i create my own groups?

you must be a premium profile user. premium profile users can
create and administer their own custom groups, including
deciding on a name, description, inviting people to join, and
monitoring the associated message board.

you must be a premium profile user. on your dashboard under the
'datebook' section, click the 'post an event' link. on the
ensuing page, there is dropdown menu option to select where to
post the event - to your personal datebook, or to your personal
datebook and the community datebook. you can also go back and
edit previously-posted events using the same process.
how
do i post content and update the info displayed in my profile?
all
content for your profile is entered, updated, edited, and
deleted through your dashboard. you can reach the dashboard by
clicking the 'my dashboard' link at the top of any page once you
